Local Boards

The Toronto Training Board is one of 21 local boards in Ontario.

The Need for Local Boards

To respond to global demands, demographic shifts and technological innovation, Ontario must create a skilled and flexible labour force.

Over the past few years, there has been a growing consensus that labour force development needs the participation of all labour market partners-business, labour, educators/trainers, and equity groups (women, visible/racial minorities, youth, persons with disabilities and Francophones).

Local training boards identify the training and adjustment needs of individuals and employers and help improve labour force planning.
