Information, Infrastructure and Innovation: TOP 2009

The Toronto Training Board hosted a launch event for the 2009 Trends, Opportunities and Priorities Report at XEXE Gallery on April 22nd from
4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m.

A panel featuring James McKellar, Schulich Professor & co-author of Building a Sustainable Toronto”, John Cartwright, President, Toronto and York Region Labour Council and Bill Young, CEO, Social Capital Partners offered a diverse view on some of the major shifts, priorities and opportunities for Toronto as well as some innovative solutions on how to create a sustainable and healthy city.

Special performance was given by "Beyond Stereotypes"- a Youth Action/Poetry and Spoken Word Initiative from Regent Park.

Past Projects

Literacy Works!

Literacy Works! was a project of the Toronto Training Board together with the Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy (MTML) and the Ontario Literacy Coalition (OLC). Other partners involved in this initiative are the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), the Learning Partnership, Social and Enterprise Development Innovations (SEDI) and the YMCA.
